Jeff Newman is a Director at Jones Lowry specializing in tax-efficient life insurance design and management strategies to help maximize wealth accumulation and wealth transfer for high-net-worth families. Jeff works directly with clients and their advisors and his process focuses on the phrase: “it’s not about what you make, it’s about what you keep.” Jeff has been a financial professional in nearly all areas of capital markets and insurance for nearly twenty years. Before joining Jones Lowry, he was a President’s Council advisor with New York Life Insurance Company and Eagle Strategies LLC.
Jeff’s areas of experience include untangling complex financial structures to determine both the optimal risk and reward given most any financial scenario or tax exposure. Jeff’s unique ability to understand the value of financial planning already executed with other advisors and apply innovative ideas to complement and help maximize efficiency for the portfolio is a priceless asset to the Jones Lowry team and clients.
Jeff graduated from University of Florida in 3 years and completed his MBA degree in Finance from University of Miami by age 22. His twenty-year capital markets career began as an investigator for FINRA. This unique experience helped him learn the industry and become a Chief Operating Officer of a Private Wealth Office in Miami. He left Miami to become the Regulatory Reporting Team Lead for Deutsche Bank in Jacksonville; his team was the direct report to the executive board for all Federal Reserve and European Central Bank requests. For the year 2020, Jeff was named the NAIFA Florida Top advisor under 40 and a MDRT Court of the Table member.
